Our wedding day

Schedule for the day:

This section provides an overview of the various events taking place, which you can find outlined below. Thank you for taking the time to read through the details.

Church

We kindly ask that guests aim to arrive at the church between 3:30 PM and 3:50 PM, to ensure everyone is seated in good time for the bride’s arrival. Your punctuality will help everything run as smoothly as possible.

If you happen to be running late, we ask that you please use the side entrance located at the back of the church, rather than the main entrance, which will be reserved for the bride's arrival.

For those attending with children, there will be a designated play area available should they become restless during the ceremony.

Lastly, if you are bringing flowers or confetti, we kindly ask that these only be used outside the church, as they are not permitted inside the building.

Photographs

Professional photographs will be taken throughout the wedding ceremony. To help us capture the best possible moments, we kindly ask for an "unplugged ceremony"—meaning that phones are turned off and not used during this time. You're more than welcome to take photos and use your phones during the rest of the day—we just want to ensure that the ceremony remains as intimate and uninterrupted as possible. Thank you for your understanding.

If you would like a photo with the bride and groom, please do let us know in advance. We’re putting together a list to help the photographer organize everything efficiently and to make sure no one is missed out during this special part of the day.

Reception

The reception will begin from 6:30 PM onwards, as the venue requires some time to complete the setup and final preparations. If the wedding ceremony finishes earlier than expected, there is a pub located nearby where you’re welcome to relax until everything is ready.

During the reception, we’ll be providing food, a glass of prosecco for toasting, as well as cake and a selection of sweet treats. Please note that any additional drinks can be purchased at the bar within the venue. ID will be required for those wishing to purchase alcohol.

Lastly, we kindly ask that you remain mindful when consuming alcohol, as there will be children present throughout the celebration. Your consideration is greatly appreciated.

Gifts & cards

We are so grateful to be celebrating our special day with you, and your presence truly means the world to us. As we already have a home and most of what we need, we kindly ask that no gifts are necessary. If you do feel inclined to give, a contribution towards our wedding or a heartfelt card would be deeply appreciated and cherish. Thank you for your love and support!

About Hailey & Alfie

Our Story

We have been together since November 2020. Over the past few years, we’ve built a life together, filled with love, joy, and the ups and downs that come with it. We’re blessed with two beautiful children, Erin and Albie-James, and two cats—Luma, who brings us comfort, and Dobby, who we miss dearly.

We met through school and connected over shared interests like gaming and watching movies. It was the little things that made us fall in love, and we’ve cherished those moments ever since.

As we plan our wedding, we’re filled with both excitement and sadness. While we’re thrilled to celebrate this day, we’re also heartbroken that some of our loved ones won’t be there to share it with us. There are people we wish could be here, and their absence leaves a space in our hearts.

We are grateful for everyone who is here, and we can’t wait to make new memories with all of you.

Some things we would appreciate

Phones

As mentioned in one of the previous sections, we kindly request that the ceremony at the church be unplugged, meaning no phones during this time. This will help us capture the best moments without distractions and ensure that the ceremony remains peaceful and uninterrupted.

In case of an emergency, please feel free to use your phone, but we would appreciate it if any calls could be taken outside the church to avoid disturbing the ceremony.

Dress code

We’re so excited to have everyone there to celebrate with us! To help make the day extra special, we’d love for everyone to wear formal attire. We also ask that you avoid wearing green or white, as those are the colours the bride and bridal party will be wearing.

Alcohol

We completely understand that many of you will want to enjoy a drink throughout the day, and we’re all for celebrating! We just kindly ask that you keep an eye on your drinks and avoid leaving them unattended, especially with children around.

Also, please remember to bring a valid ID if you plan on purchasing alcohol from the bar, as you won’t be served without it.

Behaviour

We know that sometimes there can be differences between people, but we kindly ask everyone to keep things positive and respectful on the day. We really want everyone to have a great time, so please be mindful of your behaviour.

If there are any serious issues, we may need to ask someone to leave, but we’re hopeful that won’t be necessary. We just want everyone to feel comfortable and enjoy the celebration!

Food

At the reception, we are pleased to offer a buffet that includes a variety of savory options, such as assorted sandwiches and cobs, sausage rolls, scotch eggs, and pork pies, as well as a selection of cold meats. You’ll also find refreshing salads, including homemade coleslaw, potato salad, and a tossed salad, alongside freshly baked crusty cobs.

To satisfy your sweet tooth, we’ll have a sweet cart filled with treats, along with a crisp wall offering a selection of snacks for everyone to enjoy.

If you have any allergies or dietary restrictions, please feel free to reach out to me at the bottom of the website to ensure we can accommodate your needs.

We hope this spread will make the reception even more enjoyable.
